Fresh from the Tree
The Okanagan's love affair with things of the earth goes back to the late 1800's. The area's roots in orcharding and agriculture account for a way of life which nurtures, cherishes and respects the earth's offspring. The region is famous for its acreages's of orchards brimming with cherries, apricots, plums, pears, peaches and apples. The industry annually generates $200 million in revenue.
In August, you need only drive a short distance from your Sunscape Resort Home to find an abundance of peaches and other stone fruits, early apples and a wide variety of fresh vegetables.
